BIOGRAPHY

Nic Lerner Dj & producer - Biography

Nic Lerner from Buenos Aires has been djing for almost ten years now but his involvement in the scene dates from much earlier. He’d been a devoted club-goer for a good decade before he found himself moving onto the other side of the game. And it was his own condition as a regular at a place called Casa Chai that quickly turned into an almost two year-long residency during which he learnt the ropes of the dj work

In the last few years Nic’s played at many well-reputed clubs in Argentina, from small & underground spots like The Shamrock and El Dorado to more mainstream and superclub-type of places like Peekaboo in Cordoba and Mint Club in Buenos Aires where he had the chance to share the booth with Symphonic Records’ Shmuel Ram (Israel) and Brazilian promise Dj Kally.

With time, his style as an artist became regularly captured by radio programmes like Add2Basket’s show on Justmusic.fm and DSound on Pure FM as well as by internet podcasts like the high-rated Night-Clubber’s Exclussive Mix and Nite Grooves, putting his sets in mounting demand from radio transmissions like Loca FM (Madrid, Spain) and Deep Sounds Radio (Greece).

As a producer, his unreleased cuts and edits had already begun making room in tracklists and charts of djs from across the world, earning him the encouraging support of artists like Facu Cruz, Damián Reds, Raul Rincon (Germany), Hoxton Whores (UK) and Add2Basket (Hungary.) until his remix of Lesviconsou’s The One in Dub saw the light on early 2008 through Bit Records (Mexico). Currently, he’s got another remix in the pipeline ready to be released along three other versions of a Larry Levan tribute called 84 King Street by Alfred Azzetto & Vincent Valler, Christian Hornbostel, Walterino & Dj Fopp.

Though his sound can be from refined to cheeky, and from hypnotic to sensual, Nic strives to play the right kind of music for every given context, and his relentless search for quality lead him to find the versatile spectrum of House music as the best outlet for all his potential as a performer.
